Programs, Courses, and Resources
We offer evidence-based programs and tools for universities, schools, districts, educators, and communities. We provide these programs to improve outcomes for emergent and striving readers, as well as offer resources for the caregivers who support them.
Emergent Word Reading And Spelling Intervention
An emergent word reading and spelling intervention. Explicit, systematic lessons, delivered in a high-dosage, multimodal format, that build foundational skills through letter, sound, word, sentence, and decodable book practice.
Elementary Literacy Intervention
An elementary literacy intervention for striving readers. Effective, multimodal sessions deliver direct instruction across the essential components of reading: phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.
Asynchronous Course for Educators
A 10-hour, highly-engaging, asynchronous course that helps educators connect reading science research to classroom practice. The course is authored by Dr. Katie Pace Miles, professor at Brooklyn College. NY State CTLE approved.

READING READY · ESSA TIER 3 "PROMISING EVIDENCE"
Students grow as readers, and the university tutors serving them grow as future teachers. In summer programs, students gained ground instead of sliding back, and during the school year, students improved their skills with every tutoring session.
READING GO! · ESSA TIER 1 "STRONG EVIDENCE"
Reading Go! students gained an extra 3 months of reading growth compared to students without the program. Impact has been proven in multiple randomized controlled trials in NYC public schools.
SCIENCE OF READING INTRO COURSE
An asynchronous course built around the core components of literacy, widely used by NYC Public Schools through NYC Reads. Teachers demonstrated a 34% increase in general knowledge of reading science from pre to post test.
